LUNCH WITH THE BRIDE-TO-BE
YESSSSS!!!! I Finally got to dine in at Cheng Ho Restaurant in Seri Manjung. For your information, I have been unlucky three times already as far as getting to eat at this place is concerned. The first time I went was on a Friday and found out they were closed in the afternoon for the Jumaat prayers. The second time I went the restaurant was closed because the chef was sick. Then the third time, we reached there at 2.46 p.m. a minute after they stopped orders for lunch. I must be jinxed.
But at last I got to fulfil my wish of eating there when I brought Cik Nurul Idliani, Nabilah and Puan Kamariah for lunch. You see, Puan Kamariah came back to finish some work for the
English language department and I was back in school today to finish some of my work as I hadn't been around for 4 days last week. Nurul Idiani who happens to be the eldest child of Tuan Haji Hasnin came on behalf of her dad to send some of his materials to the office. For your information, I will be attending Nurul's wedding on 29th November and when I saw her I knew that if I brought her along, I would be able to break the jinx. Why? Because the Chinese believe that brides-to-be are lucky and so are expectant mothers.
When we reached there, true enough, the place was open, the chef was healthy and we were on time. The waitress ushered us to a table and we promptly made our order. After finally getting to taste the food at Cheng Ho, I must say that I wasn't too impressed with the dishes. Sad to say, it wasn't worth my trouble as I had tasted better cooking in other restaurants.
