PUAN NORRIAH BINTI MOHAMAD NOR

Puan Norriah has been a hostel supervisor in this school for 15 years. In 2001 she was promoted to senior hostel supervisor after having served as supervisor for 21 years. The first school that she was posted to was Sekolah Menengah Pulau Nyiur in Kedah.

She was born in Belimbing, Pahang and later her family moved to Serdang in Kedah and then to Kulim. When her father passed away in 1974, she and her family moved to Pulau Pinang.

In 1984, Encik Mohd. Zain bin Mohd. Noor married her and the happy couple has five children. They are Mohd. Kamarul Ariffin (20 years old), Mohd. Kamarul Ridhuan (18 years), Mohamad Kamarul Syazwan (14 years), Mohamad Kamarul Hisyam (12 years) and Farah Amira (5 years).

During her free time she loves to read magazines especially Anjung Seri and Wanita. Her other hobby is cooking. Encik Shukri, the technician, tells me that Puan Norriah would bring food that she has cooked for her colleagues in the office to try. I am told that her cooking is delicious. She tells me that when she has a family gathering, she likes to prepare BBQ and chicken chop.

In future, she hopes to go for her hajj with her husband. She hopes that all her children will succeed in whatever field that they choose to be in and they live happy and fruitful lives.
