A CARD FOR THE TEACHERS

Three of the librarians were busy designing a Teacher's Day card for all the teachers this afternoon. The three were Helmy, Linda and Ain. Many of the other librarians have gone home for the weekend. Next Thursday, the card will be completed and will be given to the teachers on Friday.

I am actually rather quite pleased with the initiative and co-operation shown by the librarians. They were the ones who wanted to do something for Teacher's Day and had suggested the activities that they wanted to do. This morning, the boys and girls who were assigned certain duties came very early to see me to get started on their task. A few of the boys and girls went around asking teachers about songs that they like. You see, the librarians want to prepare a souvenir CD containing songs that students can give to their teachers. Very early in the morning too all the printed pamplets on the things up for sale were handed out and by recess time, there were quite a lot of queries.
