Hi! Did you celebrate Mother's Day with your mom today? I did but later in the day as early in the morning my nephews, Jeremy and Benjamin, and their mother brought my mum to their church to celebrate it there. Later in the afternoon when their service was over, I treated my mum and Jeremy to lunch at a restaurant. My sister and other nephew, Benjamin, went home as he wanted to study for his mid-year examination. I was glad to see that all the people at the restaurant that I went to were actually celebrating with their mums. Some had even brought cakes. I did not as my mum is diabetic.
You must be wondering why Benjamin went home to study and his brother who will be sitting for his SPM this year did not. Well, Jeremy happens to be my mum's first grandchild and her favourite. Mine too! When he was younger, my parents and I helped to raise him as his parents were working in Kuala Lumpur at that time. He stayed with us from the time he was two and a half months until he was in Form 1. That is why there is this very close bond between us. Believe me, I can predict that Puan Siti Arfah's first grandson will be her favourite. Mark my words! I have seen this happening to many of my friends and relatives and I know.
