TOUCHING ...

I was emotionally touched by the message in one of the Mother's Day cards made by my student. I tried to hold back my tears when I read the message as there were other boys and girls around at that time. Hey! I need to keep my composure as a teacher.

I am not going to reveal the student's name but would like to share the message on the card. Well, this is a reminder to show extra attention and care when I am in class. I am sure that I am speaking for many of the teachers when I say that sometimes we do not really know that there are a few boys and girls in our classes who really need an extra bit of love and care from someone that can be considered as a surrogate parent in school. Hopefully, as teachers we can help to give a bit of love and attention to our students who might be needing it since their mummies or daddies are no longer around.
