EVE OF MERDEKA

Today is the 30th of August, the eve of Malaysia's fiftieth Independance. There was a special assembly this morning whereby a few of the Merdeka activities were carried out. As usual there was the singing of the national anthem followed by the state anthem. Then there were speeches by the Minister of Education and the King which were read by Ustaz Lotpi and Puan Siti Arfah respectively. Then there was the singing of the song "Tanggal 31" and finally a performance by the school choir. The prefect on duty was Khairil and the teacher on duty, Encik Saiful.
