FARMER'S DAY

Today is Farmer's Day (Hari Peladang Merdeka 2007) and in conjunction with this day a special prize giving ceremony was held at the Square in the Astaka to give away prizes to the winners of certain competitions that were held. Our principal, Puan Siti Arfah bt Ibrahim, received a certificate of appreciation from the Manjung District Officer for our participation in the Bumi Hijau Competition. Puan Kamariah Sulaiman and I went along to cover the event for the school. The headmistress of SK Lekir, our foster school, Puan Che Puteh represented her school to get the certificate of appreciation.

Above are pictures that I took during the prize giving ceremony, the visit to the stalls that were set up for this occasion and a few of the officers from the Agricultural Deparment. For your information, our school won second prize in the state level Bumi Hijau competition. SK Lekir was the state champion and the first runner up for the national level competition which was held in Terengganu.
