RAYA DO

As the boys and girls of 5EK1 brought a lot of raya cookies for me, I decided to have a Raya Do (Jamuan Hari Raya) with them today. Since eating cookies alone would not be enough, we also had tom yam noodles.

We had initially planned on having the Jamuan Raya near the Taman Herba after school but the students said they preferred to have it in the morning and then concentrate on learning English in the evening. Besides, a few of the students in the class who were staying outside, had to attend tuition classes and then there were some who had duties to carry out and could not make it. Also, I had wanted to make use of the tent which was put up for the meals of the senior teachers attending the two-day course in our school but since the time of our Jamuan coincided with the lunch time of the participants, I had to have it in the library. I did not want my students to fry under the hot afternoon sun and get heat stroke. Anyway, the boys and girls were very good as they helped to clean and tidy up the library after everything was over.
