Greetings to all students, teachers and staff of STESMA (past and present) and anyone else that may happen to visit,
Hi, I am Miss Cheah Li Na (see picture of me and my cute little nephew, James). I am creating this blog to keep everyone informed about the goings-on in Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seri Manjung. Besides me, the people at the English Language Department will also be responsible in getting all the news for this blog. We would also appreciate it if former students and teachers could get in touch with us and fill us in on their current status. I must also mention that the computer specialists and data experts from the other departments will also be lending their technical expertise to make this site more interesting.
With the formalities out of the way, let us look at some of the latest STESMA news.
Our principal, Puan Siti Arfah bt Ibrahim welcomed a new member to her family when her son married the girl of his dreams during the second week of the school holidays. Many of the teachers attended the happy occasion. A week after this happy occasion, Puan Siti Arfah will be jetting off to Bangkok for a short course.
During the first week of the school holidays two pairs of our former students also happily tied the knot. They are, Mohd Saiful Adly and Salasiah from 5T6 and Mohd. Hizwan and Nafaifzai from 5T5. All four of them were from the class of '97. Miss Cheah was the form teacher for 5T6 and Puan Mashita the form teacher for 5T5.
In hospital
Our dear lab assistant, Encik Sazali is in hospital. He is said to be suffering from kidney stones but the diagnosis has yet to be confirmed. Read this site to find out the results of the tests the doctors had carried out on him. You can visit him at Ward Six in Manjung District hospital during visiting hours.
Transferred
Puan Norlina bt Idris, our Malay language teacher, has gotten a transfer to Malacca. Her absence will be greatly felt by her friends and students. On behalf of all my colleagues in the language department, I would like to thank her for the help and co-operation that she has given to us.
World Cup 2006 Fever
Once again football fanatics the world over is gripped by World Cup fever. In conjunction with this once in every four years event, the Physical and Health Education Department has come up with activities to whet the appetite of the students and teachers. Futsal competitions for boys and girls, a Football Quiz, an exhibition, a photography competition as well as a Folio Contest are being held in the month of June. Prizes galore will be presented to winners.
