TUAN HAJI AHMAD HASNIN BIN HAJI ABDUL SAMAD.
In Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seri Manjung, this is the teacher that I have known the longest, almost fourteen years. Both of us studied in England, he in Manchester and I in Bristol. When I first knew him, he had four children who were all in primary school at that time. Now, his eldest daughter, Nurul Idliani is training to be a TESL teacher and his eldest son, Aikhwan is in university. Another son, Najmi is in Polytechnic. His other daughter, Nurul Idliana is in college. I almost forgot to mention that he now has another daughter, Nabilah aged seven who has entered primary school.
To me, my friend Haji Hasnin is a man of many talents. As a matter of fact, I think the one thing he is not too good in is singing. He is also very knowledgeable and is one person who never shies away from lending a helping hand to friends and colleagues who ask for his help.
Tuan Haji Ahmad Hasnin has taught for about 27 years in several schools in Perak and is a very active person. Besides being a Master trainer for the ETeMS programme, he is also the district coach for badminton. An avid sportsman, he excels in badminton and hockey. He can also be called on to coach the girl's netball team. He holds a B. Ed. (Hons.) degree in TESL from the University of Manchester. Did I mention that he is also a good cook? Well, he is and can whip up some delightful Malaysian dishes during special occasions.
