ENCIK ISHAK SALASA

Cikgu Ishak just turned 39 a couple of weeks ago. In the blog that I did for his birthday, I had not really given much details about him other than the fact that he was born in Ipoh on the 6th of July, 1967. Now I would like to tell you more about him.
His kampung is in Chemor which is famous for tapioca. Incidentally, Encik Ishak tells me that Mr Nyana's wife, Hennah, is also a Chemor girl. He had his primary education in SK Chemor and his lower secondary education was in SM Aminuddin Baki in Chemor. He then entered Sekolah Menengah Vokational Lebuh Catur. It was there that he first met Encik Mohd Zaki bin Demyati, who was his teacher. At that time, Encik Zaki was a newly trained teacher. He next entered Politeknik Ungku Omar in Ipoh where he did a certificate course in Electronics and Communications. After that he was accepted in Maktab Perguruan Teknik in Kuala Lumpur where he was trained as a teacher.
He is happily married to Puan Shudilah bt Mohd. Nor who is also a teacher. Puan Shudilah teaches in SMK Tok Perdana in Sitiawan. They have a pretty ten-year old daughter named Nur Shahirah. Believe me, the little girl looks a lot like Erra Fazira. Even Cikgu Shuhaimi Ibrahim agrees with me. I guess Nur Shahira must have gotten her good looks from her mother. Let me divulge another juicy titbit about my friend. I heard that his wife did her practical teaching in Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seri Manjung and our Cikgu Ishak was instantly attracted to her the moment he set eyes on her. The rest, as we say, is history.

He loves sports and enjoys playing badminton, volleyball, squash and tennis. Swimming is another activity that he likes. He tells me that he likes the Bubur Jagung (Maize Porridge) that his wife makes. Encik Ishak likes the colour blue and if you notice most of his shirts are of that colour. He must be getting dizzy seeing the colours that I wear. I love wearing orange, green, red, purple and black.
He is currently studying for his first degree in Electrical Engineering at the Open University of Malaysia (OUM) and is into his tenth semester. He will be graduating next year along with Puan Zamrudah, Pn Siti Rosnani, Encik Ridaudin, Encik Merzuki and Encik Ghazali.
He is a very loving husband. Whenever his wife has to travel to another town for a course, he would call to make sure that she has reached safely. When Puan Shudilah is not feeling well, he will also keep calling her to make sure that she is okay.
He respects Cikgu Zaki, his former teacher and current colleague. He actually told me to do a write-up on Cikgu Zaki first before him. But since the photo I snapped of his teacher is not too clear, I have decided to do him first. I am sure Encik Zaki will not mind. In this blog alone I already mentioned his name 5 times.
As for plans for the immediate future, he says there is only one, and that is to have more children.
