The second day of the carnival saw more students taking part in the Tribology and Egg Standing Competition. The record for the egg standing competition is 7 eggs in 3 minutes. One student tried to stand the eggs in another venue and managed to do 16 but this was not counted as the surface was not the one chosen for the competition. So far two students are tied with 7 eggs each. One student has managed to pick up 110 coins for the Tribology Contest. Thank goodness Cikgu Ishak Ismail came back and took over the running of the two contests. About 90 students signed up for the Mathematics Quiz which was supposed to be held today. Unfortunately, it had to be cancelled as Cikgu Faizal had to send his wife to hospital. Hopefully, it will be carried out tomorrow.
The venue for the exhibition was moved to the area immediately leading to the Form Five Block. This is a good move as the place is very strategic. I noticed that many of the students and even teachers stopped to look at the exhibits.
The screening of the movie was carried out from 8.30 - 10.15 p.m. However, another movie was schown instead of "My Fair Lady". The movie chosen was a British one titled, "Millions". It is about two young boys, aged 7 and 9 who find a bag full of money and what they did with it. The moral value of the story is that money isn't everything and we should value our loved ones more.
