FASHION DESIGN CONTEST

The fashion design contest saw the most contestants. It was very popular and well-represented. All the classes took part. It started at around 4.00 p.m. Cik Irma gave the students instructions on what to do. She and Puan Hafizah had also prepared the newspapers and other stationary for the students to carry out their tasks. The students were then allocated a certain amount of time to produce a fashion apparel from newspapers. One of the students in the group was to be the model and another would be the spokesperson when they had completed their masterpiece. Puan Fatihah and Puan Rozita were the judges for the contest. Besides the two ladies, I could see that some of their family members had also come along to lend support. Bravo! This is very encouraging. I was extremely pleased during the presentation bit when the students showed off their work. They were indeed very creative and the spokespersons really made the effort to promote their designs using English. A very well carried out task. Congratulations to the organisers and the other teachers who helped.
