VERTICAL FILE COURSE

The librarians attended a vertical file course (Kursus Fail Tegak) on Thursday afternoon. The course was held at the Physics laboratory as the students were supposed to view a power point presentation. Unfortunately, there was a technical error as the disk that I had burned the file could not be played. Nevertheless, the course was still carried out with Miss Cheah giving the explanation and then showing students two sample vertical files. After that the librarians went back to the library to start preparing the vertical files. They were given two weeks to come up with a file on a topic of their own choice.

Miss Cheah also informed students to start thinking about who they would like to be the central comittee. She advised them to consider carefully the person who will be the Head Librarian as he or she will also be a member of the working committee of the Resource Centre.
