INFORMATION SKILLS SESSION

Today the Form 5 students had to attend a three hour session in the school hall on information skills. The session started at 11.00 a.m. and ended at 2.15 p.m. Before this the students were given a briefing about the NILAM program.

The specific topics for today were "What is Information Technology" and "Introduction to the Internet". Miss Cheah and Encik Daniel were the presenters. The aim of the session was to give students a better understanding of Information Technology which is a vital part of information skills and also the Internet. In this cyber age it is really vital that our students are armed with knowledge about this. There was a quiz at the end of the session.

The two teachers also kept reminding the students that:-

"Knowledge is power - sharing it is empowering".
