PROUD TEACHER

I can't help it but feel proud each time I hear my former students succeeding in their studies and continuing to pursue their studies to a higher level. I am only the teacher and can feel so proud, can you imagine how the parents of students would feel if their children do well in their studies? Here is a picture of Hazrul Razhairie who was in my class. He emailed me and told me that he visits this blog regularly. I have asked his permission to publish his email here as I feel that what he said will motivate our students.

Hi Miss,

I'm Hasrul. I hope you still remember me. I'm your ex-student 2000/2001, same class with Darliza (PKE3). But, not as famous as her... I'm the boy that came to school (last year) to take his SPM certificate 5 years after I sat for the spm… Heheh, I hope I didn't make a new record for late-comer-spm-request! Actually I was busy for the past 5 years, including studying at UiTM Samarahan, Sarawak. Then, right now I am continuing my studies in BBA (Finance) year 2 at UiTM Arau Perlis. A few STESMA students are also studying here (same intake/year with me). But most of them have been transferred to the Shah Alam campus.
My friends always asked me (even stesma teachers also), why I took so long time to finish my studies? Well, as you know… My SPM results was not very good. I also didn't get credit in English. But, I never gave-up... I took a preparation program (actually, I could directly continue to diploma program at private college), but I picked UiTM because of the good English environment here. I'm 2 years older compared with my classmated (most of them from matriculation), but you know what? I feel young study here because all the people around me are young… hehe ;)
I am very happy I can read news about STESMA in your blog. Guess what, I visit your website every time I go online (erm, I am online everyday..ehhe). STESMA has changed a lot! Even, Manjung town also. I'm very shocked by the fast-moving Seri Manjung when I came to school last year.
If you need a help in designing or developing webpage especially for the school, I can help. Actually I'm not an expert but simple HTML and other code I know a little bit. I can create one website for "Taman Herba" if you want. Just email to me the materials (photo, facts or others). By the way, I write this email also to inform you that the school official website seems to be not working. I tried visiting that website many times but failed to enter. I hope you can notify the webmaster. And choosing tripod as server is not very good for visitors. It's taking a long time to view the website. Also a lot of banner/ads made by them in school website is an eyesore. I can suggest a list of websites/hosting that can provide better service than tripod. Or, don't you wish to buy your own domain/hosting such as smtserimanjung.com that cost only RM150-180 per year?

YES!!! After looking at the webpage he did for Siti Nurhaliza, I am definitely asking Hasrul's help in making a webpage for the Herb Garden. I am gathering materials for him to work on and I need to get some from Puan Idayati to send to him. In answer to his question of it being difficult to enter the official website for Sekolah Menengah Teknik Seri Manjung, it is under reconstruction. Cikgu Daniel is updating the site and so it will take some time before all the data and photographs are entered.
