MID-YEAR EXAM: DAY 2

Today is the second day the students of STESMA are sitting for their examination papers. Already, the teachers and I could see that there were a few students who decided to sleep while the rest were labouring on. Had they finished answering all the questions? Were they exhausted from burning the midnight oil? Or did they give up because they did not know?

Also there were quite a number of teachers that were not in school as they were away attending courses, meetings or were on sick leave. That would mean Cikgu Zawawi, who is the internal examination secretary, and his team had to work doubly hard to help invigilate the classes of those teachers who were absent. When I saw him at around 1 p.m. today, he told me that he had relieved 5 classes already. Cikgu Ishak Ismail who is seen in the picture had also relieved just as many classes.
