SEMULUH

I had been looking for the scientific name of this plant for a while. It was given to me by my neighbour to plant in our herb garden last year but neither Puan Idayati nor I knew its name. Today I happened to find the information I wanted when I was looking at images of herbs posted on the Internet. In Chinese it is referred to as Bird's Nest Grass.

Scientific name: Persia chinensis (L.) H. Gross
Family: Polygonaceae
Common name: Semuluh
Uses of semuluh: to treat dysentery, stomach ache, sores and venereal diseases
