I did a post titled "Damsel in Distress" on 16th July. To refresh your memory, I am reposting it below:
The first picture shows our beautiful damsel in distress (Pn Norma) as her car won't start. The second and third pictures show the other teachers taking a look at her car engine. Finally, Cikgu Jalaluddin thinks of calling for help. Picture number three shows our hero, Tuan Haji Ahmad Hasnin, coming to the rescue.
From the above pictures I had assumed that in no time, he gets her engine running and saves the damsel in distress. Hooray for Super Haji!!!
But I was mistaken. I only realised that I had jumped to conclusions when I was on my way to the car park. My other librarians and I were talking about the incident. Sharveen was telling them that I had dubbed Tuan Haji Hasnin as Super Haji. Amin whom I sent to photograph the event corrected us by saying that the hero was Ustaz Lotpi who had come to save the day. It seemed that Tuan Haji Hasnin did not manage to jump start the engine and it was actually Ustaz Lotpi who called his mechanic from the workshop to bring along a car battery to get it started. So instead of Super Haji, we have Captain Lotpi.
Well, it seems that I was wrong again. Encik Adam, husband to Puan Norma, left this comment for me in the blog.
Adam said...
the ending of the story was like this, neither super haji nor captain lotfi but her ultra hubby was the real hero of the day...i am proud to be her husband..terima kasih semua kerana membantu my sweetheart.
So now, it is not Super Haji or Captain Lotpi but Ultra Adam. Puan Norma told me that when the mechanic brought the battery he wanted to charge her RM 280.00 (which was expensive). And so she called her hubby. He told her not to accept it but instead went to look for the same type of battery at a cheaper price. He got it for RM 180 and then came to our school to fix it for his wife. He managed to get the car started at around 4.00 p.m. And that ladies and gentlemen is the complete story.
