AT THE COLLECTION CENTRE FOR RECYCLABLES

At the Kedai Botol or the Centre for items that can be recycled, I noticed that things that we thought were rubbish were being collected by people to be sold here. See, there is money to be made out of rubbish.

Sharveen and I sent the newspapers after the other librarians had helped carry them to my car. When we reached the place, there were workers who helped us to take the papers out of the car. Our newspapers weighed a grand total of 128.5 kg and we sold them for 22 sen a kilogramme. The money will be added to the fund for the year end gathering for the librarians.
