VICTIMS OF FLOOD
Early this morning, I was informed by Cikgu Jalaluddin that Puan Rasilah Ahmad and her family were evacuated to a centre for flood victims as her home was knee deep in water. As the president of the teacher and staff association, he then invited me to go with him and a few other teachers to see how Puan Rasilah was coping with the situation. At present she is housed at Pusat Pertanian Lekir with other flood victims.

Puan Rasilah relating her experience to her colleagues. She said that when she was sent to the centre at around 3.00 a.m., there were only about 6 families there. At the time, we went to the place there were already about 250 victims.
Puan Rasilah is worried about her two cars which are parked in her house compound as there is fear that water might enter the engine.
Thank goodness, Puan Rasilah managed to gather all her important documents as these are difficult to replace.
Though she would most probably suffer some form of financial loss due to the floods, we are all thankful she and her family are all safe and sound.
Puan Rasilah said that initially she and her family were taken to the Health Clinic from their homes before being sent to the Pusat Latihan Pertanian
