RIGHTING A WRONG

My student, Ming Shen, asked me why I was in school since this is holiday time. Well, I told him I came specifically to settle the problem with the billing of the Utusan Malaysia newspaper. You see we were being billed for newspapers that never reached us and I found out last week when I went to the Utusan Office in Ipoh that there was something wrong with the delivery boy who was given the task of sending papers to our school. It seemed that he is a bit out mentally and left the papers outside the old Utusan shop and gave the papers away for free to passers-by. And so I had to come back to school to write an official letter to inform them that we had not received the newspapers and not to bill us. There were also times when the newspapers only reached us at 3.00 or 4.00 p.m. and they were unsold - like the ones I am shown with above. Also, I had to send some official documents to Encik Zamili at the PPD in Sitiawan on Monday.
Next week, I will also be in school but this time it is to bid farewell to our students who will be sitting for their last paper on Tuesday. Actually, I decided to stay back in Sitiawan for a day or two after attending the wedding reception of Cikgu Nurul Idliani this weekend.
