FOR THE SAKE OF INTEREST

When I was taking photographs of some of the orchids above last weekend, one Chinese man came up to me and asked me why I was taking so many photographs of the flowers. When I told him that I wanted to post the pictures on the Web, he asked if it was because I wanted to make money from the photos. When I told him that it was for the sake of interest and that I would not be getting a single sen for them, he seemed rather surprised. Well, I do think that some people are so materialistic that they cannot see that there are those amongst us who get pleasure out of looking at the beautiful flowers, snap their photos to share with those they know without any thought of any monetary gain.
