NOT LEAVING

At the beginning of the week, Puan Asiah received a letter informing her that she has a promotion but the only drawback was that she had to report for duty at the Perak Education Department in Ipoh.
This would be a difficult situation for her as she has no relatives in Ipoh and it would be difficult and troublesome for her to relocate all her school-going children there. Furthermore, it would be expensive for her to work there as she needs to rent a house and so on.
As for me, I would be sad to let her go as she has been very good to work with. Besides me many of the library teachers felt the same way too. Anyway, she has decided not to take up the promotion and has opted to remain here. So, we will still have our Cik Siah with us. Besides, who will make nasi lemuni for us when she is not here?
