TUAN HAJI ABDUL HALIM BIN KONTING

Cikgu Halim is on study leave at present. He is reading for a Masters degree in Education Technology and Multimedia at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He will finish his studies in March next year.

Tuan Haji Halim started teaching in 1989. He was first posted to Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Banting. He is happily marrried to Puan Hajjah Azainun bt Kamaruddin whom he met in college. They are blessed with four children, Muhd. Afiq (16 years), Mohd. Amirul (13 years), Siti Nur Faidah (11 years) and Siti Aishah (6 years).

He likes sports and takes part in many of games. He particularly like sepak takraw, badminton and football. Besides sports, he loves to travel and says that he enjoys visiting different places and getting to know more about the places he visits.

When he finishes his studies, he hopes to get a transfer to Kelantan, his wife's homestate as he and his family like it there. Tuan Haji Halim tells me that he is planning on buying land there and building his own house. He hopes to set up a shopping complex in Kelantan when he retires.
