JUNG JI HOON
I think I have mentioned quite often that my favourite entertainer is Jung Ji Hoon. Well, I watched him perform live on Saturday in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. Throughout the two-hour concert, I was spellbound by his performance. It was truly magnificent and spectacular.
I have been a fan of Ji Hoon's since 2004. Initially, it was because I had enjoyed his acting in a very popular K-drama. Then as I read more about him, I grew to admire him for the person he is.
From a person many people in the entertainment industry in his country deemed as "not good looking enough" to be able to make it, he has emerged as an Asian superstar. In fact he has already started on his dream to succeed in America. All this was because he refused to give up. He worked ridiculously hard and put himself through a really very disciplined training regime and punishing work schedule. At the same time, he has already completed his first degree and is pursuing his Masters degree now. I have read reports that he is a very filial and respectful son, a polite and well-mannered young man who does not smoke or indulge in drugs. And there is of course the charity work that he has done and is still doing. He has built wells for villages in third world Asian countries and is also involved in some green projects in East Asia. He has most recently been appointed World Vision Korea’s HIV/AIDS Ambassador. Before I forget, Ji Hoon is better known as Rain. He performed at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil, KL on January 27th at 8pm as part of his Rain's Coming 06/07 World Tour involving 17 cities through 11 countries including the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. Part of the proceeds from the performances will be donated to World Vision in aid of Asia’s young HIV/AIDS victims.
I would like to share with visitors to this blog a slide presentation of photos taken before, during and after Rain's concert. The photo above shows some of the members of Rain's Malaysian Fan Club after the concert.
