FIREFIGHTING

From the Lumut Naval Base, I drove to the Seri Manjung fire station to get photographs of the girls learning how to put out a fire. Of course, they were shown the ropes by the real firefighters who risk their lives daily fighting fire. Initially, flying fox was one of the activities planned but since many of the trees in the station were cut to accomodate some construction work, it could not be carried out. In its place, the students were given a taste of how it feels like to put out the flames of a fire. Like the boys who went to the fire station, the girls were also taught how to abseil from the top of a high building.
