An EST lesson.

What I am writing here is called a blog. Let me begin this post by enlightening those in the dark about what a blog is. The term blog is a blend of the terms web and log, leading to web log, weblog, and finally blog. The term 'weblog' was coined by Jorn Barger on 17 December 1997.Writing a blog, maintaining it or adding an article to an existing blog is called blogging. Individual articles on a blog are called 'blog posts', 'posts' or 'entries'. A person who writes or posts these entries is called a blogger.

A blog entry typically consists of the following:

* Title - main title, or headline, of the the post.
* Body - main content of the post.
* Permalink - the URL of the full, individual article.
* Post Date - the date and time the post of published.

You can say that a blog can be regarded as an interactive, personalized Web journal for publishing your thoughts, getting feedback, posting photographs or anything that you wish to share with people. I hope that you are now more knowledgeable about what a blog is.
