NEW DRIVER
The teachers who were gathered outside the office were surprised to see Cikgu Ishak Ismail come to school this morning in his MYVI car and not his usual big bike. Even when he went in to the office to clock in, Tn Haji Hasnin, Cikgu Sulaimi, Cikgu Razak, Cikgu Mokhtar and Cikgu Azman went to examine his car.
You must be wondering, why all the interest? The car is not newly bought. It happened to be driven by Cikgu Ishak's late wife. After her demise he decided to take it back from Kuala Lumpur and use it himself since he was the one who bought the car for her. Anyway, all this while he has never learnt to drive since he was content to go around in his Vulcan bike. For your information, he only passed his driving test last week and so he is a new driver. And that explains the teachers' interest. They were actually more interested to see him drive the car and not the car itself. If Miss Cheah were to come driving in a Porsche, then everyone would be interested in the car and not the driver.
