ME HANDSOME??? OH NO!!! ARGHHH!!!
Do you know that the man who sold me the herbal plant I am holding in the picture above actually told me that he was selling the plant to me for an especially low price because I was very handsome. Handsome? Alamak! I don't want to be handsome. One of my birthday wishes was to become more beautiful - not handsome-lah. Aiyoh! The fairy godmother who grants wishes to birthday boys and girls must have got it wrong. She must have mistaken me for Korean actor Lee Jun Ki (see picture above) who shares the same birthday with me, that is, April 17. I must admit that he is much, much prettier than I am with his exquisite features and fair, smooth, flawless complexion.
Come to think of it, there are quite a number of very pretty looking actors nowadays. I think the man at the market must have been watching quite a lot of Taiwanese, Japanese or Korean shows lately to want to describe me as handsome. I had recently watched one Taiwanese drama, based on on a Japanese manga, in which the three lead actors were much prettier than the lead actress. The name of the drama is Hanazakari no Kimitachihe. It is a Japanese shōjo manga series written by Hisaya Nakajo. Hana-Kimi (the shortened version of the title) is about Mizuki Ashiya, a Japanese girl who lives in the United States. One day, she sees a track and field competition on television, and becomes attracted to one of the competitors, Izumi Sano, competing in the high jump event. She begins to idolize the young athlete and eventually transfers to Japan to attend the same school that he attends. There is a catch, however-- Sano studies in an all-boys high school, named Osaka Gakuen, and Mizuki must disguise herself as a male student to enter. In my opinion, the girl in the Taiwanese version of the drama looks boyishly handsome and the actor playing the role of Sano, the high jumper is really pretty. I think his mother must be a former beauty queen for him to possess such beautiful features and fair, smooth complexion. Don't believe me, click here, here, here, here and here to view photos of the two leads.
I am sure my three friends, Cik Siti Mariam, Puan Kamariah and Mr Daniel, will be having a good laugh when they read this post. I specially single the three of them out as they visit this blog regularly. Of course, my dear Jafni will also be making some comments in the chatterbox once he reads this.
