REGULAR MODEL
Pictured above is the pretty model that I regularly use for the herbal plants, Puan Kamariah Sulaiman. Today she is posing next to the bebuas plant and the other plant is a species of terung. I haven't found the information for it now but will do so in a new post later. In the meantime, do read the info about the bebuas plant (first two pictures).
BEBUAS
Local Name: Bebuas
Scientific name: Premma Cordiflora
Family:verbenaceae
Bebuas is commonly used as ulam by the Malay community. Its crunchy stem and slightly bitter taste increases ones appetite. When eaten raw as ulam, this plant is said to help rid the "wind" in ones body quickly. The leaves of this plant can be boiled and the water can be drunk to help get rid of worms in the body and also helps lactating mothers.
